Three Initiatives FOR a brighter Tomorrow
Campbell County has the opportunity to take control of our future and economy with three specific purpose excise tax (SPET) measures on the general election ballot.

Though called a tax, these are truly critical infrastructure projects to help our community continue to thrive as the energy markets change. These taxes end when the funds are collected.

On November 5th, believe in a brighter tomorrow for Campbell County, vote for the SPET measures, and take control of our future and our economy.
INITIATIVE 01
Gurley overpass
The Gurley Overpass should be replaced because it is key infrastructure, serving 10,000 vehicle crossings a day and keeping the railroad tracks free of road vehicles. The replacement bridge will be four-lanes and include dedicated space for pedestrians and bicycle traffic. The replacement bridge will also have a higher load rating to support the easy flow of commerce.
Replacing Gurley Overpass is the best investment for the community. To help offset the cost, the City of Gillette has set aside $6 million ($1 million per year) and will continue to set aside this money for the project. The City also secured $3 million through federal appropriations. The City has also tried to secure funding from the state via WYDOT but could not because the bridge is not a state-maintained structure. The City has also worked with State House and Senate officials to try and secure funding but were unable to secure and additional funding through those measures.

INITIATIVE 03
Town of wright Housing infrastructure
The Town of Wright is asking voters to approve a $12 million infrastructure project to develop housing for working families. This investment will build the infrastructure needed to construct 87 single-family home lots as well as multi-family units. Housing is important to our local economy because we need places for workers and their families to live. Without housing infrastructure and a ready workforce, we cannot attract and grow businesses locally.
